Frances Osborne lives and works in Cornwall, she trained at Redruth School of Art (Later to be moved and become Falmouth College of Art). She finished in 1969 with an a-level and hnd in pottery, and a foundation course in art and design. She went on to meet her husband John, got married and had three children.
Frances started her first pottery in 1987 in a converted garage and today continues to produce wheel-thrown stoneware pottery using local clay. All of her pieces are individually hand painted with metal oxides and include teapots, jugs, vases and jewellery.
Today Frances is an associate member of CPA and on the committee of the Cornish Ceramic and Glass Group. She also teaches at the Mid-Cornwall School of Pottery and in her studio. |
